Recipe: Fried Shrimp Curry With Tomato Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 500 grams of shrimp, cleaned~
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped (optional)
  • Fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons of cooking oil
  • 1 cup of water
  • Salt to tasteepper to taste
  • Piri-piri (chili pepper) to taste (optional)
  • Boiled bananas for serving

Instructions:

Prepare the Shrimp:

  1. Clean the shrimp thoroughly, removing the shells and veins.
  1. Place the shrimp in a bowl and set aside.


Chop and Prep Ingredients: 3. Chop the onion, tomatoes, garlic, and bell pepper. 4. Have all the ingredients ready before you start cooking.

Sauté the Vegetables: 5. In a large pan, heat the cooking oil over medium heat. 6. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent. 7. Add the garlic and bell pepper, cooking until fragrant.

Cook the Tomatoes: 8. Add the chopped tomatoes to the pan. 9. Cook until the tomatoes break down and form a thick sauce.

Add the Shrimp: 10. Add the cleaned shrimp to the pan. 11. Pour in a cup of water and stir well. 12. Season with salt, pepper, and piri-piri to taste.

Simmer: 13. Let the mixture simmer for about 10-15 minutes, or until the shrimp are fully cooked and the sauce has thickened slightly. 14. Add the fresh chopped cilantro and stir.

Prepare the Bananas: 15. While the shrimp is cooking, boil bananas until they are soft. To do this, peel the bananas and boil them in water with a bit of salt until tender.

Serve: 16. Serve the shrimp sauce hot, accompanied by the boiled bananas.
