Location and Geography Chimanimani National Park is located in the district of Sussundenga, in the picturesque province of Manica. The park spans the magnificent Mount Binga, which is the highest point in Mozambique, standing tall at approximately 2,436 meters. It straddles the border with Zimbabwe, encompassing both countries within its breathtaking vistas.

Access to Chimanimani National Park


Located in the remote northern part of Mozambique, Niassa Game Reserve offers a pristine wilderness experience. Despite its remoteness, reaching the reserve is manageable whether you're traveling by air or by road. The journey itself is part of the adventure, offering glimpses into the diverse landscapes of Mozambique.

By Land :  You can reach Chimanimani National Park via the Machipanda border from Beira City (Beira corridor) or from Chimoio City. The Park is well-connected by road to the North, Center, and South of Mozambique, as well as to visitors coming from Zimbabwe. A 4x4 vehicle is recommended for this journey due to the road conditions.  

By Air : Direct flights are available from Maputo to Chimoio. After arriving in Chimoio, you should continue your trip to the Park in a 4x4 vehicle for a smoother and safer ride.
